Honorees Rena and Jerry Barta, SINAI supporters for almost 30 years, were inspired by the growth they witnessed in a nephew, an early SINAI student. Mr. Barta, a 22-year-employee of Alfred Sanzari Enterprises, this year’s Community Partnership Awardee, said “this year marks the 30th year of SINAI dinners at Glenpointe. Over the past three decades, it is here that SINAI has educated and sensitized the community on issues related to special needs and raised the critical funds that have made it possible for thousands of children to receive the special education that they need and deserve.”
“While proud of Sanzari’s connection with SINAI, as a 22-year-employee of the company, I am not surprised. Community involvement, faith, family, education and hard work are important strands in the Sanzari DNA, qualities so closely aligned with the values of SINAI.”
The couple also commented, “Without SINAI, so many children would have no opportunity for a quality Jewish education, and so many children would not be the successful, self-confident members of the community that they are today. We know that our nephew, who today is an adult with a child of his own, owes so much to everything he learned at SINAI and the friends he made there.”
Honorees Annette and Jerry Kranson have been SINAI supporters since its inception. They were in attendance at the school’s first dinner.
“We have personally seen how SINAI through its individualized programming and dedicated staff, provide the kind of environment for our most special students to thrive both educationally and spiritually.”
Honorees Eve and Heshy Feldman, SINAI supporters for 20 year said that “SINAI holds a special place in our hearts, for the impact they have on so many children with special needs in our community. Thanks to SINAI, these children are able to receive the special education they need without sacrificing the Jewish education they deserve.”
