Teaneck, New Jersey- Areyvut’s Annual Erev Yom Kippur Chesed Program was held on September 13th in conjunction with the Teaneck Jewish Center. Children were given the opportunity to create chesed projects for those most in need. Projects included: writing letters to Israeli soldiers for Friends of the IDF, coloring challah covers, creating bookmarks for Bergen Reads, making friendship bracelets for Shaare Zedek, sewing sukkah decorations for Jewish Home at Rockleigh, and decorating mezuzot for Amit.

“The event was wonderful,” said Areyvut’s Founder and Director, Daniel Rothner. “All the participants had a great time and were able to spend time involved in chesed and tzedakah before the holiest of holy days.”
