(Courtesy of World Mizrachi) As the academic school year draws to a close and gap year, seminary and yeshiva students prepare to return to their homes for the summer months, World Mizrachi has launched a crowdfunding campaign to help provide programming and financial scholarships to individuals who wish to participate in the “Year-In-Israel” experience.

Under the banner of “No Student is Left Behind,” in the past few years Mizrachi has helped dozens of yeshivot and seminaries raise over $17 million toward Israel activities and scholarships, with the number of benefiting students continuing to rise.

“The gap year in Israel is one of the most transformative years of a young adult’s life on so many levels,” said Rabbi Doron Perez, executive chairman of World Mizrachi. “World Mizrachi is deeply committed to enhancing the gap year experience however we can.”

The participating schools for the 2023 campaign include: Yeshivat Yishrei Lev, Machon Maayan, Derech Etz Chaim, Yeshivat Orayta, Sharfman’s Seminary, Yeshivat Migdal Hatorah, Ruach HaNegev, Yeshivat Torat Shraga, Tomer Devorah, Midreshet Eshel, Midreshet Emunah v’Omanut, Yeshivat Hakotel, Tiferet, Lev HaTorah, Yeshivat Darchei Yonatan, Shaalavim for Women, Midreshet Amudim, Baer Miriam Seminary, Lavi Olami, Hamidrasha Hatzionit, Midreshet Harova, and Midreshet Amit.

“Partnering with Cauesematch to drive a global campaign, we have assisted dozens of yeshivot and seminaries to raise millions of dollars over the last three years,” continued Rabbi Perez. “We hope to together raise even more this year to support these amazing institutional engines of Torat Eretz Yisrael.”

In addition to promoting the seminary and yeshiva experience, World Mizrachi helps provide support for students via shabbatonim and trips throughout the year that focus on connecting them with the land and state of Israel. Over the course of the year, the organization brings together students for a variety of social and cultural events, particularly around holidays like Yom Hazikaron, Yom Ha’atzmaut and Yom Yerushalayim.

Mizrachi serves as the official representation of the Religious Zionist movement to the World Zionist Congress promoting the interests of Orthodox pro-Israel Judaism in a wide variety of platforms both in Israel and across the Diaspora. Founded in 1902, the organization has long worked to support the ability of young people to come and learn in Israel.
