Over the last few weeks, WTA’s early childhood classes have been getting ready for their favorite holiday, Pesach! Along with learning classic Pesach songs and playing all sorts of Pesach games, the impressive 3-year-old Shorashim, with the help of their morot, created The Shorashim Sensory Haggadah. The pages of Shorashim Haggadah reflect the Montessori approach to learning and the knowledge of how children learn best at the age of 3—through action and by engaging the senses. Each page invites the student to recall their knowledge of the holiday and requires the use of multiple skills that have been practiced in class. In addition, and in order to help the children stay engaged at the Seder table, each page provides the use of a familiar skill such as: pinching, counting, sorting, ordering, telling, matching and singing.
