Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Each year, as part of WTA’s commemoration of Yom HaShoah, the fifth graders undertake a research project about their own Jewish history. Each student, together with their parents, chooses an artifact that represents their Jewish heritage. The students research the origin and history of the item, and how it is used or revered now, in order to tell a story about their family through the lens of the artifact. This year’s submissions ranged from an old-fashioned Omer counting tool to family sets of Tefillin, and so much more.
