Last week, WTA celebrated Pink Day! This initiative that was started by the organization Sharsheret, was a wonderful opportunity to bring awareness and support for a worthy cause. The major focal points of the day were health, wellness and kindness. To celebrate Pink Day, students came to school dressed from head to toe in pink, and throughout the day, they discussed ways they can be healthy and make healthy choices. Each student took a pink strip of paper and wrote their name and a kind action that they were doing to bring more kindness to the day. Students then put their individual paper links together to form one huge sharsheret (chain) of kindness which is proudly hanging in the lobby of the school. The day ended off with eighth grade girls baking challot that were sold to the community, with all proceeds donated to Sharsheret.
