WTA Celebrates Student Productions

Last week, WTA had the privilege of witnessing two amazing student productions that showcased the hard work and creativity of the third and fourth graders.

First up was the third grade Wax Museum. For weeks, the third grade students researched historical figures, gathering information and preparing detailed presentations. The big day arrived when they came to school dressed as their historical figures, standing still at their stations like lifeless wax figures. When someone—parents, grandparents, teachers and other special guests—pressed the red button at their station, the students came to life, sharing their character’s life story and answering questions in full character. Some of the historical figures included Julia Child, Michael Jordan, Thurgood Marshall, George Washington, Amelia Earhart, Elon Musk, Babe Ruth, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and many more. From scientists to leaders to artists, the third graders truly brought history to life. It was an incredible experience for everyone involved, and WTA couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and dedication!

Next, WTA celebrated the fourth Grade Mesibat Navi, a joyful event marking the students’ significant milestones in learning this part of the Tanach. This lively celebration included song, dance and a storyline about the transition of power between Moseh Rabeinu and Yehoshua HaNavi that exemplifies our school’s core value of Anava (humility and modesty)—all performed in Hebrew—which demonstrated the students’ understanding of their learning so far. Each fourth grader also received a special Sefer Navi with a custom cover bearing their name, which was presented to them by Rav Beit HaSefer Rabbi Avi Hoffman, Head of School Deganit Ronen, Judaic Studies Principal Rabbi Yair Menchel and their teacher, Morah Hagit Hope. The students’ pride and excitement were evident as they performed, showcasing the importance of their studies in a fun and engaging way.

Both events were filled with joy and nachat, bringing so many parents, grandparents and special guests to the school to join in the celebrations. The energy in the air was infectious, and it was heartwarming to see our students shine and share their hard work with their families and school community.

WTA is incredibly proud of the third and fourth graders for their dedication and hard work, and looks forward to more amazing learning from them as the year continues.
