Last week, WTA celebrated one of its most beloved annual events, the PJ Melaveh Malka. Each year, in the weeks leading up to Chanukah, WTA’s early childhood families join together on Motzei Shabbat for singing, arts and crafts, and a bedtime story. This celebration of family and community is fitting at this time of year, with the days being some of the shortest of the whole year. Over the years, the event has expanded to WTA students collecting pajamas and bedtime books for donation to the Pajama Project. The collection begins at the Melaveh Malka and continues up until Chanukah. Over the years, this beautiful event has morphed from a simple celebration of community and farewell to Shabbat into one of the most treasured chesed opportunities of the year.
