At Westchester Torah Academy, students from every age group had a chance to work together to get the garden open and ready for the growing season. As part of the hands-on science curriculum, they helped to pull weeds, amend and fertilize the soil, and then plan a wide range of crops including cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, various herbs, marigolds and so much more! A dedicated group of volunteers will be helping to tend the garden over summer break, and students are looking forward to harvesting their bounty in the fall and preparing entirely home-made early childhood snacks.
