(Courtesy of WTA) On the evening of Sunday, Feb. 4, the WTA community came together to express their love and support their school and Medinat Yisrael at the 11th Annual Shomrei Torah Dinner. The theme of this year’s dinner — Yachad Nenatzeach (Together We Will Triumph) — made this year’s dinner both beautiful and powerful. The evening featured a video following WTA from the very first days of the war through every action that it has taken together to support Medinat Yisrael, which was accompanied by Rav Bet Sefer Rabbi Avi Hoffman and WTA students singing “Mi Sheberach” for Chayalei Tzahal, as well as a special live video interview.

The community was privileged to speak with Devorah Margalit, an Israeli mother of seven boys, all of whom were involved in the fighting of מלחמת חרבות ברזל. While the connection was made purely by chance when Head of School Deganit Ronen was visiting Israel, the Margalit family espouses so many of the same values as WTA that it was clearly bashert, meant to be. Margalit’s words about her journey to Yehadut and Hashem, as well as how she raised such a large and equally dedicated family, were truly inspiring.
