On Shabbat of March 12, WTA seventh and eighth graders were joined by middle school teachers, rabbis and school administration for a Shabbat filled with ruach, fun filled tishes and special learning sessions with WTA teachers and rabbeim. The students and staff spent Shabbat on WTA’s beautiful new campus, “camping out” in classrooms and enjoying the school’s brand new facilities. Students led the Shabbat minyan and leined Parshat Zachor as well as prepared divrei Torah. The rainy Shabbat afternoon was spent playing games and enjoying quality time in a relaxed environment. The shabbaton’s theme of simcha was experienced by all who attended. Shabbat ended with a musical Havdala and left the seventh and eighth graders as well as the staff ready for a week filled with even more simcha in anticipation of the week’s coming Purim activities.
