WTA Middle School Preps for Purim

For the past three weeks, the kol Torah in the Westchester Torah Academy middle school morning beit midrash has been all about Purim, with each teacher focusing on a different aspect of the holiday. In Ivrit, students were taught the students loads of Purim phrases and words in Hebrew such as mask, costume, dancing, clown, crown, scepter and more. In Gemara they were taught selected passages from Masechet Megillah, while in Chumash they learned fascinating insights into Megillat Esther. Their studies were rounded out by understanding dinei Purim using the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch and the Rambam’s Mishneh Torah.

The culmination of all this great learning was a competitive Kahoot where all the students got to show off their knowledge. The top five scorers faced off the next day in a live chidon, featuring a wide array of Purim trivia.
