WTA Second Graders Explore Animal

WTA second grade scientists have been engaged in learning about the animal kingdom. They learned the seven attributes that are needed to consider something that is living. They investigated invertebrate animals such as arachnids, insects and mollusks. They went on to find the distinguishing attributes of fish. This week they dissected a real fish! The students were so excited. They were able to find the heart, liver, gills, intestines and even extract the lens from the eye! It was both an interesting and engaging process where the students were able to engage in hands-on learning in the classroom.
