Yakira Bella Introduces Fall Fashion for Holidays and Every Day

The soft pastels of summer are gone, replaced by vibrant colors and heavier textured fabrics that signal autumn is coming. Emily Gerszberg, owner of Yakira Bella women’s fashion, said she has cleared out all her spring and summer collections and is just showing what’s new for fall. She is adding dresses for the holidays, which are all in October this year when the weather promises to be chilly, and outfits that can transcend a variety of activities. She loves the ease and versatility of knit sets and sweater sets. “You can wear them every day and dress them up or down,” she said. “We have them in deep, rich, beautiful fall colors.”

Two-piece knit set with sleek black long-sleeve top and a matching long skirt, both with bold vertical stripes in white and light gray.

Another trend that is only getting bigger is the rise of denim; Yakira Bella has a denim line for the first time. “It’s perfect for this time of year,” said Gerszberg. “Wear a long denim skirt with a T-shirt, or if it gets cooler, they look super cute with a sweater. People are loving denim so much, we’re selling button-down denim shirts and denim shirts with puffy sleeves, so we’re incorporating a couple of trends together.”

For a casual, active day, keep moving in an oversized sweatshirt and matching skirt, paired with sneakers to get around fast. Several styles were so popular during the spring that Gerszberg made fall versions, changing some of the fabrics and lengths while keeping the basic silhouettes. Although Yakira Bella debuts two main seasonal collections annually, on September 1 and March 1, new items are introduced two or three times a week.

The Kimberly is a color-block maxi skirt with black and dark wash denim detailing with a straight silhouette and a full gold-button closure.

Yakira Bella is getting noticed, and recognized, by the wider fashion world. At the Magic Show, a wholesale trade show in Las Vegas, Yakira Bella won an award for best women’s contemporary fashion. And at the end of the month, Gerszberg will be showing in Milan’s Fashion Week.

Yakira Bella is growing in new locations and categories. In addition to stores in Cedarhurst and Teaneck, Yakira Bella is in The Address at American Dream Mall and has a new store in Toms River. After the holidays, the shop will introduce a new sleepwear collection—the ultimate in comfort and style. Gerszberg will also be introducing a home goods collection, beginning with vases and decorative pieces. She has longer range plans for table settings and accessories. This is the concept Gerszberg had in mind for Yakira Bella when she first began expanding from selling only online to building retail stores: a coordinated lifestyle brand visually and stylistically connecting the design of her stores, fashion, and items we use in our homes.
