Yavneh fifth grade students joined together to learn about the mitzvah of hafrashat challah. The students then had the special opportunity to make their own challot. Students formed their challot into the shapes they chose and had the option to add chocolate chips and raisins. When doing the mitzvah of hafrashat challah, one’s tefilot have additional merit and at the end of the challah bake, the fifth graders recited Tehillim and davened for Am Yisrael around the world, and specifically in Israel.
