This past week, the Yavneh Academy middle school enjoyed an exciting, ruach filled color war. Teams בינה, מצוה, גבורה and מקרא, all worked hard and personified this year’s theme, “Yavneh at 80.” Throughout color war, students enjoyed activities such as life size Hungry Hippos, gaga, life-size foosball, Torah Panoply, sports, Pictionary, musical chairs, wacky relay races and so much more.
Led by eighth grade generals and captains, students cheered, sang and danced their way through color war. At the end of the two and half days of excitement, all four teams joined together for final presentations which included banners, a “Yavneh at 80” theme song by each team, boys’ stomp, girls’ dance, divrei Torah and team videos. Students had a great time and are already looking forward to next year’s color war! Thank you to the middle school deans and faculty who worked so hard to make this year’s color war memorable!a
