On Thursday May 24, the Yavneh Academy fifth grade music elective, together with Music Director Marsha Motzen, participated in “Link Up,” an interactive program at Carnegie Hall. Along with students from all over the area, the Yavneh students played their recorders, sang songs and had the opportunity to hear a full orchestra, as well as play a piece with the orchestra. Yavneh students Carrie Beckerman and Emma Galandauer commented, “It was amazing that we got to interact with the orchestra. We got to hear all of the different sections of the orchestra. It was so amazing how everyone in the room played the songs together. It was an amazing experience and if we had a chance, we would go again!”
