Yavneh Academy Ganon students welcomed guests into their class this week. They’re not like your typical classroom visitors. These guests were furry, fuzzy, creeping little crawling caterpillars. First the children noticed that they started off teeny tiny and as the week went by they watched the caterpillars grow and grow. They were amazed to see that by the end of the week the caterpillars began their metamorphosis stage and students watched their chrysalides starting to form around their bodies. The students can’t wait to continue to observe and record each stage of the caterpillars and to see them eventually turn into beautiful butterflies.
