Yavneh Academy Special Visitors’ Day was indeed extremely special for both the children and their visitors. Spending time together is a great gift, and this wonderful morning allowed for that in an exciting way. The children in the gan classes, together with their special visitors came together to spend a fantastic morning in Yavneh Academy. In the spirit of Yom Ha’Atzmaut, the children and their visitors went on a “trip” to Israel. Stations were set up ranging from decorating a Hebrew name plate for their bedrooms from Tzfat, to making an artifact in Caesarea to coding a bot in Israel’s technology hub.
The event concluded with a spiritual and spirited Shabbat Assembly. The children spontaneously got up and danced to the music led by Yoni Stokar. The feeling of Shabbat coming, coupled with the songs for Israel was both beautiful and meaningful.
Yavneh hopes that this feeling of community and family will stay with both the children and their visitors for years to come.
