On the Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving, Yavneh Academy students participated in an enriching intergrade learning experience, where younger students learned together with students from older grades in small groups. Together, they explored the theme of thankfulness, focusing on its importance in Judaism and studying various sources from the Torah about gratitude. Students worked on a project, writing thank you letters to their teachers, expressing appreciation for their dedication and hard work. These letters were delivered with delicious pies, generously provided by the Sunshine Fund, creating a warm and meaningful gesture of gratitude throughout the school community.
The Intergrade Learning was sponsored by Susanna Shepper and Zev Berglas in memory of the Yahrtzeit of Abraham Berglas, father of Zev and grandfather of Avi, Chana and Nechama.
