Yavneh Academy Kindergarten Students Attend Yitzchak and Rivka’s Wedding

The Yavneh students learned about parshat Chayei Sarah and about the many ways Sarah was special. They baked fresh challot for Shabbat, created framed brachot for their imas to use when they light their Shabbat candles on Friday night. The children also learned about Yitzchak and Rivka’s chatunah. They children looked at photos of their own parents’ weddings, and highlighted what is unique about a Jewish wedding. They learned what a chuppah is and why the chatan breaks a glass at the end of the ceremony. They also noted that one of the best parts of a wedding is, of course, the dancing with the bride and groom—so, they danced and sang Mazal tov!
