In conjunction with kindergarten’s countdown to the 100th day of school, the students challenged themselves to say 100 brachot before the 100th day of school. They included brachot on foods, brachot during tefillah and brachot during benching. The students also learned different ways to count to 100, did 100 movements with Coach Lauren (the 100 year old granny), counted out 100 snacks and did a fun Hershey kiss scavenger hunt around our classroom. Students also wore 100th day crowns, sang songs and read some poems and created a very special chain of 100 good wishes for Israel!
First graders “toured” their 100 Collection Museum and were amazed at the different ways 100 items can be represented. The students explored 100 art centers, with sticker and coloring activities, and 100 building time, creating structures with 100 stacking cups. They wrote about 100 things they would want and 100 things they would never want and were challenged to come up with lists of 100 favorite foods, 100 ways to make 100, 100 mitzvot and more.
Everyone brought forth 100% effort which resulted in 100% energy, 100% excitement, 100% involvement, and 100% fun by all!
