Yavneh Academy students in grades three through eight packaged close to 1,000 snack bags for Kosher Troops, an organization that sends packages to Jewish American troops. In honor of the upcoming holiday of Shavuot, students packaged cheese snacks for these brave fellow Jews. This chesed activity exemplifies the lessons learned from Rabbi Akiva, to love our fellow Jew. This is an important message to focus on especially during the time of Sefirat HaOmer. Students had a meaningful time packing and wrote very beautiful cards, thanking the troops for their service and wishing them a happy Shavuot.
