Two years ago, a team of creative Israelis started what is known as Koolulam. Their goal was to bring achdut and togetherness to a fractured and split world. How would they accomplish this through song? Last year, 12,000 Israelis joined together in Tel Aviv to celebrate Israel’s 70th birthday. This past week, in honor of Israel’s 71st birthday, the Yavneh Academy faculty and students joined together in the Yavneh Academy Frances and Manny Freed middle school gym to add 1,000 additional voices to this initiative. Together, they sang “Hallejuah” and shared a true moment of pride for both Israel and Yavneh Academy. The video can be viewed at www.yavnehacademy.org.
