What do Yavneh Academy and Summer 2020 have in common? Hawks@Home Summer, of course!

As families began to consider summer plans for their children, Yavneh recognized that many of its students would not have the opportunity to participate in conventional summer camp with everything that it provides—structure, socialization, exploration and fun.

That realization led to the creation of Hawks@Home Summer, a free, four-week, optional program designed to help alleviate some of the challenges families were facing. Staffed by Yavneh faculty members, Hawks@Home Summer offered a wide array of academic and elective options, including reading and math, Mishna and Ivrit, art and coding, fitness, cooking and more. Daily sessions were all conducted through distance learning. The feedback from families, teachers and students was tremendous. It was clear that the students had an incredible time participating in this unique program.
