On Tuesday, April 28, Yavneh Academy held a Yom Hazikaron tekes to remember chayalim that have fought for Israel and are no longer with us. In addition, through the work of the Afikim foundation, students in grades one through five learned about a soldier who died fighting for Israel. The students pledged to do an act of kindness in the soldier’s memory and sent a note to the chayalim’s families to comfort them on this day of remembering. We truly can make a difference by remembering heroes who fought for our country and spread love and words of thanks to their families!
