It might have been Erev Purim on the calendar but the staff at Yavneh is thinking ahead! The entire school packed Pesach goodies for American Jewish soldiers. Each class learned about the importance of chesed and its connections to Purim. Then they got packing. All together, students made 400 individual gift boxes for the soldiers. With the help of Kosher Troops and the Aleph Institute hopefully these packages will brighten up a Jewish soldier’s day! Dr. Alan Perlman, Yavneh parent and U.S. veteran, addressed the students via video to express the importance of the packages and how meaningful it will be for the soldiers to receive the goodies.
