Yavneh Academy placed first in the spring 2013 Stock Market Game sponsored by the Sifma Foundation. Out of over 400 teams in their division, seventh graders Yechiel Hyman and Shlomi Helfgot turned $100,000 into $118,700 in a ten week period. Shlomi was also part of the third place team in the fall 2012 competition that included Benjy Feintuch, Shmuel Ross, and Yaakov Zinberg. The students were advised by Yavneh faculty member, Mr. Howard Goldberg. The winners received medals at an awards ceremony at the Pershing Headquarters in Jersey City, NJ.
