The Yavneh Academy eighth grade students learned about the mitzvah of taking challah as part of the eighth grade Gemara curriculum. They discussed why we still perform this mitzvah today even though we no longer have a Beit Hamikdash. The challah bake included tefillot for the hostages and for those chayalim still fighting in Gaza.
