In honor of this week’s parsha, Lech Lecha, the students designed their own suitcases for travel. They filled the suitcases with different objects that they would need to take on a long trip such as food, drinks, toys, etc. The children then carried their suitcases as they went on a “trip” to Eretz Canaan. They walked all around Yavneh asking people if they could help them find Canaan. They ended up finding Eretz Canaan in Morah Dalia’s fourth grade class, where they were welcomed with drinks of water and the opportunity to sing together. After returning from their journey, the children davened under the stars and learned about Hashem’s promise to Avram.
