While learning about Parshat Lech Lecha, the Yavneh Academy pre-k designed their own suitcases so they could travel to Canaan. They filled their suitcases with different objects that they would need to take on a long trip, such as food, drinks and toys. The students then carried their suitcases as they went on a trip to Eretz Canaan. The little travelers walked all around the Yavneh Academy building asking faculty members and fellow students to help them find Canaan. The children finally found Eretz Canaan in Morah Russi Shor’s fourth grade class where they were welcomed with drinks of water and everyone sang songs together. After returning from their journey, the students davened under the stars!
