Yavneh Students Become Paleontologists

Yavneh Academy’s pre-k students became paleontologists. The students learned all about fossils. They now know that a fossil is an impression made in the earth that hardens. They discovered that fossils are very old, and fallen leaves, insects, bones and footprints are all things that can make a fossil. The children then made their very own fossils. Each child pressed their feet into Plaster of Paris. Instead of waiting for thousands of years, they only had to wait 15 minutes for the fossils to dry and then they had an impression of their feet.
