Yavneh Students Get Ready for Thanksgiving

Yavneh Academy early childhood students have been busy learning all about how the Pilgrims sailed from England and landed on Plymouth Rock so that they could daven in the way they chose. In class, they talked about all the things the Pilgrims had to be thankful for when they arrived, like: surviving the long trip on the Mayflower, the Native Americans being friendly and helpful, having trees to build houses from and the many new and delicious foods to eat. The younger Yavneh students were entertained by some real Native Americans from Redhawk Native American Arts Council. They loved their colorful tribal costumes and learned some Native American songs and dances, too!
