To commemorate Memorial Day, Yavneh Academy sixth grade students read a book about memorials and monuments dedicated in memory of American soldiers who died fighting for America. Students watched interviews of veterans and researched the meaning behind each memorials’ design. The students created posters of the memorials they studied. Each student came away with a great appreciation for the sacrifices made by many generations of people who fought for America.
