Yavneh Academy seventh grade Gemara students have been learning about the mitzvah of kiddush. To culminate the unit, the students created a project summarizing what they learned. They used presentation slides to teach the material to Morah Russi’s third grade class. It was such a pleasure seeing the seventh and thirrd graders learning together. Following the learning, students joined together to make some freshly squeezed grape juice. Students stomped on the grapes, using special rain boots (bought special for grape stomping). The grape juice was tasted and enjoyed by the students—and even Rabbi Knapp!
