On Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan, Yavneh Academy third grade students had their first tefillah b’tzibbur of the year! The whole grade davened and sang Hallel together. After tefillah, the students participated in a Rosh Chodesh program at which they learned about Rachel Imeinu, who passed away during the month of Cheshvan. Rachel was selfless during her life, in letting her sister marry Yaakov, and she was selfless in her after-life being buried on the way to Beit Lechem and davening for the Jewish people to return to Eretz Yisrael. The learning groups took a lesson from Rachel Imeinu and spoke about how they could be selfless in their everyday lives.
