Yavneh middle school students participated in an afternoon of connection and inspiration during a special yom iyun that focused on tefillah.

Yavneh was honored to welcome four special guest speakers, Rabbi Menachem Penner (Class of ’83), Rabbi Moshe Tzvi Weinberg, Mrs. Michal Horowitz and Mrs. Sorah Shaffren, who truly infused the students with their passion for tefillah. Sessions focused on aspects of tefillah, such as gratitude, talking to Hashem, music in prayer, starting the day on the right foot and davening as a group. Some sessions also included experiential learning such as, crafts, singing and learning how to do hagbah.
