YBH Excels at CML Competition

The Continental Math League (CML) is a prestigious national math competition that challenges students across the United States to apply math skills in a competitive setting. CML not only fosters a deep understanding of math concepts, but also promotes intellectual growth, academic excellence and a spirit of fun and healthy competition. The fifth grade boys at YBH competed in that Pythagorean Grade 5 Division. This was an advanced division and required an advanced level of reading comprehension and analytical skills in order to be able to interpret and analyze math questions in a time constrained environment. Two distinguished members of the team, Shua Shteingart and Akiva Polakoff, had perfect scores and achieved the title of CML National Leaders. Of the 102 Pythagorean Division Grade 5 schools in the competition, YBH was included as one of the top 13 Continental Math League National Winning Teams. In addition, their level of achievement earned the team the highest scores out of the nine New Jersey School teams.
