(courtesy of yumacs.com) The Yeshiva University men’s cross country team competed in the York College (N.Y.) Invitational, at Van Cortlandt Park, on Sunday afternoon. The Maccabees finished fourth overall as a team, scoring 125 points.
Leading the way for Yeshiva was senior Avraham Raichman, who finished seventh overall in the 8k race, with a time of 29:44.84. Classmate Jake Schrier was the 12th runner to cross the finish line, completing the race in 30:57.18.
Sophomore Jonathan Greenberg came in 31st place at 33:53.23. Classmate Solomon Shulman was right behind him, finishing 33rd overall, with a time of 34:00.93. Junior Jonathan Schwartz (34:10.02) and classmate Yosef Pfeffer (36:17.99) were the fifth and sixth Yeshiva runners to complete the race.
The Maccabees will compete in the Skyline Conference championships, at Purchase College, on Sunday, October 29.
