Yeshivat Ashreinu Holds First-Ever Scholarship Breakfast

(Courtesy of Yeshivat Ashreinu) Yeshivat Ashreinu, a gap-year boys’ program in Beit Shemesh, Israel, recently held its first-ever scholarship breakfast at the home of Daniela and Laurence Schreiber in Teaneck. Ashreinu’s inaugural class simultaneously celebrated its fifth reunion, with 25 of the 30 original students in attendance. Jordan Hod, of Teaneck, was awarded Alumnus of the Year, and the guests of honor were Julie and Rick Lobel from Englewood.

Yeshivat Ashreinu, under the leadership of Rabbi Gotch Yudin, focuses on three core areas: Torah learning, chesed and connecting to the Land of Israel through touring and volunteering all over the country. The breakfast was held to raise money for its $150,000 scholarship fund. While a significant portion of the goal was donated, the ultimate goal has not yet been met.
