Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Holds Chag HaSemicha

(Courtesy of YCT) Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School held its Chag HaSemicha on June 14. They celebrated the next generation of Torah leaders and ordained their 2018 S. Daniel Abraham Semicha Fellows: Sam Englender, David Fain, Rachmiel Gurwitz, Nachum Gutierrez and Scott Kalmikoff. The graduates are headed to rabbinic positions in Allentown, Atlanta, Detroit, New York and West Hartford. Bringing even more significance to the event, they conferred honorary semicha upon Rabbi Asher Lopatin for his service to the yeshiva, to modern Orthodoxy and to Klal Yisrael.

Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School’s mission is to recruit, professionally train and place rabbis throughout the world who will lead the Jewish people and shape their communities’ spiritual and intellectual character in consonance with modern Orthodox values and commitments.
