Athletics at Yeshivat Frisch are going strong heading into the winter, with double girls varsity and volleyball team wins at the end of October. At the same time, last year’s champion girls JV volleyball team raised their banner in the Frisch gym. Meanwhile, Cougars took second place in the boys varsity basketball championship on November 12. Games were livestreamed on Frisch’s Cougar Nation Network website.
At Frisch, athletics form just one part of an integrative curriculum focused on personal, intellectual and spiritual growth. “We believe that athletics is not a separate part of the education process,” said Frisch Athletics Director Aron Cohen. “Rather we believe it is an extension of the classroom, where our student athletes get to grow and excel in athletic areas and learn valuable lessons about team responsibility, leadership and the meaning of competing.”
In addition to volleyball and basketball, Frisch Athletics offers opportunities in tennis, track, hockey, fencing, soccer, baseball, softball, swimming and more.
