Yeshivat Frisch students had a blast celebrating Chanukah this week. A total of 44 Judaic studies sections have enjoyed after-school Chanukah parties, hosted at the homes of Frisch’s dedicated Judaic studies faculty. “We are thrilled to be having Chanukah parties with every section of our Judaic studies classes,” said Associate Principal Rabbi Joshua Wald. “It really exemplifies one of our central values, of establishing wonderful relationships between faculty and students.”
Within the yeshiva, the entire student body has come together at the end of each day for candle lighting, singing and raffle. At the same time, students have taken the opportunity to give back to the community around them, with near-universal participation in the Bergen County Toy Drive and the launch of the annual Chanukah tzedaka campaign by Kahal, Frisch’s student-run tzedaka organization. This year, funds raised by Kahal will be donated toward lone soldiers of the IDF.
