The Yeshivat Frisch student body was privileged to hear from NJ Attorney General Gurbir Grewal on Dec. 19. AG Grewal, who is the first Sikh-American attorney general in the history of the United States, spoke about his own life story and about religious freedom in America, including the right to live one’s faith freely and to hold any job regardless of one’s appearance. He also spoke about the imperative to stand up for all communities who feel targeted. His remarks concentrated on support for the Jewish community in the wake of the heinous attack against the Jewish supermarket in Jersey City earlier this month.
