Yeshivat He’Atid’s early childhood began their Yom Ha’atzmaut celebration by stepping off a flight to Israel. After going through a special passport control led by Morah Janice, the children joined together for a special tefillah to thank Hashem for the opportunity to celebrate Israel’s birthday together.

In honor of the day’s festivities, the early childhood hallway was transformed into different landmarks of Israel for the students to visit.

They traveled to the Kibbutz He’Atid where they used their muscles to squeeze fresh orange juice and milk cows! At Shuk Carmel, the children visited a very life-like shuk where they went shopping for delicious foods including pita, Israeli salad and pickles. In Haifa, they created their own boats and learned to charm some handmade snakes. In ירושלים, they learned about the Kotel and the Beit Hamikdash and wrote special notes to Hashem to place into the class Kotel.

Tzfat was a unique art activity where the students worked together to create beautiful mosaics and chamsas to decorate the school. At ‏ים המלח, they learned about sinking and floating and played a special game testing the buoyancy of various objects when placed in saltwater. They even got to test out Dead Sea mud!

Then it was finally time to take a tiyul down to Eilat where they wrote sand art postcards to their families, made scuba masks and went scuba diving in the class aquarium while visiting the beach.

It was a very busy and exciting day at Yeshivat He’Atid!
