This week, kindergarten through eighth grade students learned all about the noted sculptor, Dale Chihuly. After studying his different glass compositions, students utilized coffee filters to test their creativity. With the help of the eighth grade girls, they sprayed each one with starch, let them dry and began the task of hanging them from the ceiling outside the lunchroom. They were inspired by the ceiling at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. They’ve only just begun, but it’s already looking great! Only a couple thousand more to go!
