To promote excitement about reading in and out of school, Yeshivat He’Atid has been celebrating Booktober (continuing into November). A number of programs and activities have been used to highlight the importance of reading and to encourage students to read. Students are trying to read as many pages as possible, with a school-wide goal of 25,000. As of Monday, they have read a total of 19,541 pages. Students submitted book recommendations for their classmates and any two students reading the same book through a recommendation receive the status of #bookbuddies. Additionally, each class has had the pleasure of guest readers from the administration and students are looking forward to grade-wide book-themed Kahoot! contest at the end of the week.
