Fifth-grade students participated in an exciting Chanukah STEM challenge. After learning about the requirements of a kosher chanukiah as well as the differences between a chanukiah and a menorah, the students were challenged with creating their own chanukiah. They needed to create a kosher, upright, chanukiah using straws and construction paper with scissors and tape as their only tools. The students had a blast thinking creatively while working to beat the clock during this fun Chanukah activity.
