Yeshivat He’Atid Celebrates Medinat Yisrael

Yeshivat He’Atid did it all on Yom Ha’atzmaut! The day began with a beautiful communal Hallel for the elementary school and the preschool, davening all together. After tefillah, classes began their educational treks around the school. Preschool classrooms were transformed into locations in Medinat Yisrael, allowing students to learn through experience, engaging in activities related to each location. Midway through the day, students took a break to visit the kotel, placing tefillot within the stones.

Elementary school students engaged in learning stations related to Israeli culture. They learned about important figures in Israel’s history, delicious Israeli treats (e.g. chocolate spread), popular children’s shows, important Israeli songs and Israeli olympians. Students also got active with Tzahal training, a karaoke competition, fruit salad making and creating door signs in the style of Menashe Kadishman.

The day ended with a beautiful daglanut presentation courtesy of the third grade. Fifth graders provided the opening act with their rendition of “Hadegel Sheli,” and then gave the floor over to their younger counterparts. The third graders gracefully showed the pride we have in Medinat Yisrael. It was an amazing and meaningful day, topped off with a delicious treat of blue and white ice cream. Kol hakavod to all involved!
