Yeshivat He’Atid Girls Basketball Remains Undefeated

On Sunday, December 4, the He’Atid Hurricanes faced off against Ashar at the Teaneck Jewish Center. After having won the first two games of the season, the girls were filled with energy and excitement going into the game.

The Hurricanes started off strong, finishing the first quarter with a 9-0 lead, and by the end of second half they widened their lead to 17-2.

Seventh grader Nili Klapper led the team offensively with 15 points, two rebounds, five steals and six assists. In addition, these eighth graders put up great numbers: Ilana Cooper, eight points and 11 rebounds; Ally Pruzansky contributed four points, 11 rebounds and two steals; Alyssa Billauer, four points nine rebounds, two steals; and seventh grader Leah Barzideh, six points, six rebounds and one steal.

The game ultimately ended in victory, with a full 100% of the girls contributing to the team’s notable statistics, making it a true team effort.

This win came after a long break since the previous game played by the Hurricanes, which took place on November 13.

“After such a long layoff between games, I was very happy to see the girls pick up right where we left off,” Coach Aaron Neufeld said.
